Publication in the thematic issue of the international journal Dire et Chanter Les Passions
\ncelebrating the 90th<\/sup> birthday of Mirella Freni\n<\/h2>\n\n
The international journal Dire et Chanter Les Passions is inviting submissions for a forthcoming thematic issue entitled Mirella Freni and Emotions<\/i>. The aim of this issue is to study various dimensions of Mirella Freni’s international career, and also to highlight the artistic and emotional characteristics of her voice. Mirella Freni has left her mark on the international opera scene through her performances, her discography, her artistic collaborations (with singing partners, conductors and directors) and her roles in the Italian, French and Russian opera repertoires. This issue aims to focus, among other things, on the importance of text in the interpretation of song, and on the close link that exists between the spoken voice and the sung voice in terms of artistic expression and the reception of emotions, as Mirella Freni often reminds us during her singing masterclasses: \u201cSi canta come si parla!<\/i>\u201d The aim here is also to reflect on Mirella Freni’s art as a whole.
